Designed in 2010 by Xavier Veilhan and built by Frauscher shipyard. Veilhan is a sculptural artist and here he created a one-off boat called the RAL5015. Created as an art project that can also be enjoyed on the water, it was commissioned for auction house Arterial in Monte Carlo. The name originates from the RAL colour range, a European building industry colour standard similar to our own Dulux powder coat colours. 5015 is sky blue. Everything on this boat is blue including the interior and detailing, the upholstery, steering wheel and dash, even the outer rims of the dials are the same blue. The boat is a sleek 8 person cruiser, at 1.7 tonne with overall length of 6.9m it can reach a maximum of 40 knots. Beautiful and powerful. Veilhan describes it as “monochrome nautical sculpture”.
